Rumors have been flying around the country today over recently leaked information obtained by ESPN.com. The leaked telephone conversation was between Louisville Stallions GM Josh Barber and Detroit Pistons GM Joe Dumars.
Only part of the conversation was obtained;
JB: Yea, I heard he really liked the state
JD: Wasn't his dad an assistant coach or something I don't seem to remember
JB: I believe so
JD: Well that's good at least. Maybe he will welcome the change
The Detroit Pistons have now have a long-time roster with the core of Billups, Hamilton, Prince, and Sheed. The team seems to almost be too old now to compete in a young man's game, so the GM is quite possibly looking to shake some things up before the season gets underway.
As for the Stallions, no players are even on the roster. They are expected to have a top 6 pick in the upcomming rookie draft, giving them what will be a franchise player. The team should also have a lot of money this offseason to sign potential free agents such as Gilbert Arenas, Shawn Marion, and Mr. Franchise himself, Kwame Brown. The pick at least will be valuable.
