I am doing this trade b/c Ming is the best center in the league and even though he is slow Kobe can play any type of style. Also, Kobe and Yao would be the Kobe and Shaq of the late 90's and early 2000's. Giving up Bynum hurts for now but I'm still not 100% sold he'll ever be as good or better than Ming is now. Odom is a great third fiddle and a mismatch with his size at small forward but his contract is huge and Ming is a great #2 option.

Ignore the **
I thought I was over the cap but apparently I have enough cap room to make this deal and still stay under the cap.

As gm of HOU i accept.. Yao is the best center but Odom will help our need for a SF and Bynum will be our center for the future. Hopefully he lives up to the hype!!!

I accept this trade. I personally am not a believer in the hype of Bynum, but it seems like just about everyone else is so I should use that as his value instead of my minority opinion. Kobe and Yao is going to be a very dangerous combo.

Also, Bynum just had ANOTHER knee operation. I'm banking he won't be anywhere near as good as he was this year and might have future knee problems considering he's had two in less than a year.

I accept. Yao is and will be a top 2 center in the game for at least the next 5 years.

I don't know if this is a good trade for LAL, but considering BOTH Odom AND Bynum are FA's next year, I guess he wants to keep a solid core for the next 5 years, so this move makes sense. I don't get one thing though, how is Alston gonna help with Farmer starting.
