SAN DIEGO -- San Diego Dragons announced the resignation of their pioneer GM, scrapz, after what was reported to be an internal dispute between owner John Dragon and scrapz.
John Dragon commented on the issue to San Diego Dragon Times reporter, Low. "He was a good GM, very hardworking and knew a lot about coaching a basketball team. But his goals were not aligned to the objectives I set for the team when I first founded this team, that defense is the best offense. So we have since gone on our separate ways and I wish him all the best in his future endeavours.
Scrapz, who has reportedly left the state, could not be reached for comments.
In another side report, Mr Dragon has been seen with a certain soccer coach, Zee, several times in uptown San Diego. Speculations is arife regarding the possibility of the appointment of Zee as the new Dragons GM, even though detractors say that he is a soccer man through-and-through and know nothing about basketball.

Surprise Surprise! Guess who is the new Dragons GM
by Low a dedicated Dragons writer
August 15, 2008
SAN DIEGO -- Although it may come as a surprise for some, frequent readers of The San Diego Dragons Times would have seen this one coming. This morning, at 8am sharp, Dragons owner Mr John Dragon announced at a abrupt press conference that Zee would be the new Dragons GM, with immediate effect. To some this might be some sort of a unpleasant surprise, but the appointment was somewhat widely-expected, the only uncertainty being the time the decision will be announced.
To those who doubt his credentials as a basketball coach at the highest level, Zee has this to say, "I'm not here to deal with those people. There are always detractors and people who just want to see you fail, but one must never give up just because someone put you down. Be it a punk in the street, or a sports writer for ESPN, you cannot please everyone with a decision, and that is also not what I am here to do. I am only here to please Mr Dragon and most importantly the fans. "
He may not have the expertise on basketball coaching, but what he has in abundance is a confidence that borders on nonchalance but without actually being nonchalant and annoying. Let's hope this will be a start of a new dynasty for the San Diego Dragons!
