I have a deep and terrifying feeling that my PC has it's first ever unstoppable and annoying virus, timed perfectly because I'm moving house tomorrow too I got it from the website, reddit.com, so don't ever go there!! The worst thing I've found, so far, is that I am unable to upload anything from my PC to the internet. Which means, for starters, I am now unable to operate Dynasty Six from my own PC. I suppose it's not so bad that I'm moving house then because I'll be able to upload from my brother's PC instead for the time being. Another thing the virus does is make it impossible for me to change my desktop background from anything other than an image of a virus warning program informing me 'warning, you have a virus'! As if there's a real program there telling me that, but it's just an image, which is weird. If any of you recognise this virus at all, please help me out. If not, God help my tortured soul because I need this PC for the masters degree I'm about to begin, let alone the internet.

This explains why I lost the last three games. Hackers are evil.

I believe my computer had the same virus, the background is a thing saying to click here to fix it or whatever.. My dad did something and fixed it, for the most part. It never really was itself again though.

Chicago - if you could get some help from your Dad that'd be cool.
Also, is the Shoutbox showing up for anyone Cos it just doesn't show up for me at the moment and I'm wondering if this virus has anything to do with it, it's made Mozilla and IE act very oddly...

i can see the shoutbox, i am thinking you might have to re-format your computer. That would be the easiest way to get rid of it, but it would wipe out all your info.

So now I'm simming everything on my diseased computer and using a USB stick to transfer everything to my brother's computer and uploading it. It's a temporary solution to what is hopefully not a long-term problem.

Is the name of the virus showing up when you do a scan If so, google the name of the virus, and there's probably a million other people who have the same thing. Just search through the help forums that pop up on google and you should be able to find a walkthrough with step by step directions on what to download. It worked for me when I had a virus last year which sounded worse than this one.
