Jay Bilas: Anthony Morrow!! You've got to be kidding me. I don't even have this guy getting drafted in the second round, yet he goes in the lottery The Pacers are going to regret taking Joe Alexander here as he WILL step right in and make an immediate impact in the NBA unlike Morrow who I don't see as anything more than a mid-season d-league callup at best.

Let's take a look at some trades which involved draft picks and re-assess them: Louisville Receives: PG: Deron Williams-83 - $4,010,640 - $5,069,448 Utah Receives: Michael Beasley (Louisville 2008 1st round pick) This one's quite difficult to call. Deron has been quiet so far this year in the NBA, but then again Beasley's having a tough time proving himself. Las Vegas Aces send: Danilo Gallinari (5th pick overall in the rookie draft of 08) 69 Chuck Hayes - $1,750,000 total: $1,750,000 Phoenix Suns send: 83 Shaquille O'Neal - $20,000,000, $20,000,000, $20,000,000 Total: $20,000,000 I would've thought the Suns got the better end of this deal, but given that they weren't around to make their pick and got Gallinari I'm not so sure. Then again, if Las Vegas were around they'd perhaps be looking at Lopez, Love, Gordon, Chalmers or someone. Pacers Recieve: David Lee Shane Battier Jared Jeffries Steve Novak Anthony Morrow (2008 First Round Pick (NY)) Total Salary after trade: $43,057,893 Knicks Recieve: Danny Granger Shawn Williams Ike Diogu 2008 Second Round Pick (IND) Total Salary after trade: $74,305,075 Nothing can really offset the sudden all-star form of Danny Granger this season, but Anthony Morrow is a pretty good pick.
